Friendly informative staff really engage adults and kids with the way life was. The shops are not overpriced. The kids playpark is great, take your own picnic or buy food there. The extra value annual ticket is well worth it. We have a 1 adult, 4 kids pass plus parking. I only have 2 kids so I take their friends too every 6 weeks.

Lovely Victorian village with lots to see and do.
Sing song in the pub, shire horses and characters in every shop and house happy to talk about Victorian life.
Bought the annual pass for all the Ironbridge museums which made it very economical.

A good day out. Blists Hill crests an authentic recreation of life in a Victorian town. The workers are willing to chat about the shops and so on. We were a little disappointed that, in spite of paying full price to enter, the attractions were not fully open. Our visit was in February, so it is understandable why this was the case. Still there was a lot to do and see.

We love it here. Our kids are 13, 10, and 7 and everytime we come, they learn something new, and love exploring the site. A really lovely day out.
This visit they made their own bricks, they found the process really fascinating and enjoyable.

Well worth a visit.
I am 65 and learnt things about the Victorian way of life that I had no idea about. Definitely going again.

Very interesting and well thought out attraction. Me and my son visited and enjoyed it staying a few hours. The reason for 3 stars was the cost! Firstly I was sad that Blue Light discount was not allowed for single entry tickets…meaning it was £42.50 on the door for an adult and child. Then obviously there are things to buy inside which adds up and I was then disappointed to see parking wasn’t free either! So it ended up being a rather expensive trip, especially compared to places like Beamish. Might work out cheaper for families and booking in advance I guess 🤨

We had a great couple of days visiting during the week and the weekend. The staff are very friendly and always have good information and stories. We spent the whole day looking around the different attractions.

Love this museum, definitely a full days out entertainment for the family, although on my last trip the kids said the lady in the sweetshop was rude to them. This aside I can definitely recommend

Blists Hill Victorian Town is a true step back in time, offering a wonderfully nostalgic experience that transports visitors straight into the 19th century. Spread across a massive space, this open-air museum is packed with historical buildings, cobbled streets, and costumed characters who bring the Victorian era to life.
One of the highlights is the authentic banking experience—upon arrival, you can exchange modern money for Victorian-style currency, which adds an extra layer of immersion. Walking through the town, you’ll find an array of traditional shops, from the old-fashioned sweet shop to the blacksmith’s forge, each filled with fascinating details that make history feel tangible.
The sheer scale of the site allows for plenty of exploration, whether you’re watching live demonstrations, chatting with the friendly period actors, or simply soaking in the atmosphere. It’s a fantastic day out for families, history buffs, or anyone who enjoys a journey into the past. Whether you’re buying a bag of traditional sweets, watching a steam engine in action, or taking a ride on the horse-drawn cart, Blists Hill is a place where nostalgia comes to life in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Great place, very interactive for the kids with extra activities put on for half term. Wonderful wooden adventure playground. Dog friendly too. Could have done with more staff in the restaurant, long wait in queue but very reasonably priced meals.
